KL trip

I didn’t really anticipate this trip since i’m on budget, it’s Malaysia and KL is just like any other cities in this world. Well, i take my words back! This is the first time after 5 years i step into this urbanised city. And the whole environment changed a lot. The shopping centres near KLCC looks like a grander version of Orchard Road. I shall explain further at the next few paragraph.

The trip was under a package trip so on the way to KL, each family introduces themselves. There were mixtures of filipinos and malays in this trip. It started to become really funny when this pinoy guy named Bobby [pronounced as BA-BEE] introduced himself as Lee Kuan Yew. And another half pinoy-half pakistani guy Abdul introduced himself as Abdullah Badawi. It’s so ticklish because these bunch of people are so random that any lame joke turns out to be really funny.

The journey from Singapore to KL was very tiring. Once we reached KL, the first stop was ‘Bukit Bintang’ which literally means Star Hills. Times square is by far one of the best mall i’ve been! It has 11 stories with 5 basements! And on the 7th floor onwards…part of the mall is an indoor theme park. Pretty impressive. And what i love about all the malls in KL is that, they have a variety of coffee cafe. I drank two to 3 cups of coffee from the different cafe. Not forgetting the reasonable price!

Apart from the malls we went to the street shops. Some are of normal rates while others are really cheap. The cheap ones are usually the rejected goods. So far, i bought 3 jackets and jeans. And i still regret not saving enough money or i could have bought more stuffs for myself and my other friends!

We went to several places like Sunway lagoon, some nice restaurant and one of my favourite is the chocolate boutique. It’s at pasar rakyat. The chocolate is local and it’s only sold at that particular boutique. The chocolate flavours are really rare like chocolate durian/mango , chocolate with coffee bean, chocolate with tongkat ali and much more. The price ranges from 18RM onwards.

I quite enjoy this trip. Perhaps it comes from the enthusiasm of the people. And if i saved enough money the next time i would like to do more shopping and enjoy more variety of coffee. Anyone wants to plan?

Here are some of the highlights.
